We provide our Pop Top Roofs in either a White or Black Gel-Coat finish or we can have your Roof painted in any colour of your choice.
Vanlidz Heat Development
Heat Resistance
We only use high HDT gels and heat resistant resins that can withstand the highest possible heat development to minimise deformation in hot climates. This ensures minimal distortion so that the roof can handle even the hottest of days.
Vanlidz Advanced Resin
Roof Construction
All roofs are made using a highly advanced vacuum resin infusion process which greatly enhances dimensional stability and guarantees the perfect resin to glass ratio, resulting in the strongest and lightest parts. This is an advanced moulding technique mainly used in the aerospace industry. We also incorporate Aluminium rails into the moulding process of our roof shells. This greatly enhances the strength of our roofs and allows us to slim them down a lot more than a fibreglass only roof. We do not have any bolts / fixings going through our roof shells. All fixings are incorporated into the roof shell upon manufacture. This ensures the roofs are sleek, smooth and very strong.

Marine Grade Canvas
We only use marine fabrics for all of our Pop Top tents. We offer 3 different types of fabric- Standard, Deluxe and Premium. We also offer our tents in a scenic view option. They are all professionally made using a state of the art laser cutting machine then machine stitched so you
can guarantee that they are all perfect. All tents come with a large clear window at the front and a fly-screen window on either side. All windows have a closable zipper flap on the inside so they can be blacked out.

Our roof beds are all light weight, 2 piece, pre-carpeted and on gas rams. They are very simple
and effective at creating extra sleeping space within your campervan. When needed they are
easily pulled down and when not in use they can be pushed up out of the way.

Strengthening Framework
We carefully design all of our strengthening framework to put maximum strength back into the vehicle after the original roof has been removed. All framework is galvanised and manufactured by UK fabricators.

Just had Pop top fitted by Chris at Van Lidz he showed me through their new premises in Peterlee where they make their own roofs in a purpose built sealed room with vacuum forming to produce a top quality product. He also showed me their new roof which is just being released in carbon fibre which looks awesome They have been a pleasure to deal with I am delighted with the quality of workmanship and customer service and would highly recommend them ti anyone considering having one fitted
Having dealt with both Vinny and Chris, I can only say good things. Great lads who offered nothing but the best customer service and were incredibly accommodating. I’m over the moon with my new pop top on my vivaro, the product quality and fitting is top drawer, they even accommodated my request for my roof rails. My van was left immaculate and had clearly been cared for whilst it was in their hands. I had to drive a 6 hour round trip and stay in a hotel over night to have my work done here, and it was more than worth it. Should I want any more camper conversion work done in the future, I’ll be back for sure! Thanks lads! 🍻
After plenty of research we chose Van Lidz to install our pop top roof, side windows, and to insulate and ply line the walls and floor of our Renault Trafic. From start to finish the experience has been second to none, the guys made what seemed like an extremely daunting process, so easy. Vinny & Chris answered all of our many questions about the products and installation process before we made final decisions about our van conversion.. They also ensured to offer suggestions and advice when needed. We are currently based in Wales, which meant we had to take some time off work for the install. The guys managed to stick to a jam packed schedule of just 5 days to complete the work on our van which we were so thankful for. When picking up the van Vinny and Chris spent a lot of time going through all aspects of the work completed. They made sure we were comfortable with using the pop top roof. The work was finished to an amazing standard, we were left lost for words. We honestly could not recommend them enough!
